Jillian scored some points with Dr. Kang, which is not easy to do. She opened her right eye at his command while he was on morning rounds. Dr. Kang is no pushover, so the fact that he’s impressed is quite significant.
Jillian had her trach put in yesterday, so now the risk of infection will be significantly reduced. Having the ventilator through her mouth, exposing her airway to bacteria, presented this risk.
Jillian’s infections seem to be under control.
