Jillian is 100% off sedation for right now. She's moving her limbs a lot more.
Sometimes she opens her "good" eye (right eye) a quarter of the way but she's not tracking motion.
Her eyes sweep from side to side like a search light but they don't tack onto anything.
Until she's tracking motion it's hard to tell if her brain is making sense of what she's seeing.
The optimologist came by. The intraocular pressure of her "bad" eye (left eye) is at a good level. Surgery has succesfully relieved the elevated intraocular pressure from the hematoma behind the left eye. The pressure around her left eye is almost as low as the pressure around her right eye.
Won't know until she wakes up what kind of damage, if any, has been done to her left eye.
Keep standing-by. Even more information to come shortly.

Hi my name is wanda my daughter also had a seveire head trauma on April 18. The largest hematoma was also on right side of head. And bruised on left eye.also hematoma on left side frontal lobes. she had shearing and axiel disfusion. At two weeks they took her off the resperator. Afew days later they put her on amytidine which helped wake up her brain as she did not talk or respond at first. She had no emotion. It took awhile before she laughed. Her eyesight is still effected. She is walking better and the dizziness is getting better. She is doing really well her memory is still not great long and short term. The worst is her anger control with her 5 yr old. I will say prayers for JP. It sounds like she is getting off all the tubes faster than Tiana that is a good sign. Tiana had alot of swelling in the brain. No brakes anywhere. good luck if you need to talk my number is 561-762-4086. I learned alot from this experience that I could share.
